Book Review: The Best Couple Ever (JustMyThoughts)

 The Best Couple Ever

               - by Novoneel Chakraborty

The best couple ever. Sounds romantic?  Look at the cover picture once, if you will.

The book is a thriller. well, the word Thriller is less for what it means to experience this book. The surprises you might get may leave you in awe!  The book traces the journey of how 3 friends, Adhik, Satyam and Parth are  destroyed with their lives and their relationships were racked. It was all planed. Buy why and by whom? The book is the answer to your curiosity. the quest of know what happened will grip you after reading the prologue itself.

Kashvi,  Parth's wife is a social media influencer and the main goal of her life is flaunt off herself and fetch likes and comments and popularity and choose the husband to get the most pampering. she is less attached to Parth than her Social media following. Nihit enters her life and takes full advantage of her weakness of craving attention. Misunderstandings are planted between Parth and her and this leads to the first tragedy. Erina, claiming to be Nihit's sister has a role too

The second tragedy occurs between Dhrithi and Satyam. Well, the whole thing was unforeseen for Satyam but again, advantage of Dhrithi's weakness was taken. Who doesn't want to be a better competition and be better when you have Kashvi  to defeat! Kshay and Ananya, new characters in their live was there to make Dhrithi a better social media influencer. Unlike Kashvi, Dhrithi did not have fame served her easy. She was a self made women and wanted to prove her dad, and later Satyam that she isn't the Good Girl who would follow the rules and give in to their constraints,  this rebel inside her force her to take the actions she did and regret it later.

The third tragedy was the screwing up of relationship between Adhik and Sanisha, due to entry of Priyanshi in his life which was no coincidence. Everything is planned and the characters couldn't have a speck of clue how badly they were being destroyed.

With all these characters , we also have Ashvamedha and Sama his wife (really?). Ashvamedha is a teacher at school and the one thing that concerns him a lot is the question, "what is happiness to you?"  could you tell if  it is the happiness we pretend all over social media or something deeper , yet short term?

The world of three couples are destroyed and after the whole case have been solved (the whole planned thing was so crazy! loved it!) , the words of the case-solving person were-
"For the first time, a criminal has made me feel guilty about my decision."

To know the whole mystery, grab the book!
The book has been written in simplest of language so get on the flow of the journey.
Giving you one short advice, if initially you feel things are getting confusing with so many characters with no significant at all, hold on. the dots would be joined after a certain extent. Go on and don't give up on reading.... it is meant to be surprising.

Thank you.
ANU.

That's the way I work!

I exhaled the breath that was captured inside me, realizing that the person didn't intend to convey the news to me yet. I'll get my news.  I don't know how long that's going to take but my mind is beginning to take its troll. I just couldn't wait anymore!  Was the news even meant for me? I didn't know. All I knew was , being patient is the only option to patient.  I have been acting impulsively. Once I decide I want to finish off something, I'll do it anyway, without giving it a second thought. Once convinced, concider it's done. The whole efforts, are therefor, put into the Convincing process. It's freaking hard to convince me to do something. My friends often say, why do you think so much? Why are you so afraid of taking actions ? I don't think I am afraid or I take too much time deciding. It's just, i don't have an explanation for this. If my Gut feeling says I should do it, I'll do it or otherwise.  Following my own philosophies,...

Stuck in or settling in ?

Things have been pretty blank these days. Since I am an intern, the only people I am answerable to, are my seniors at work (and this transition from being in a bunch of people of the same group to working is fairly new to me). The work timings depend, on department to department, from unit to unit and within weekdays too. Currently I am at a calmer place so I do not have anything major to worry about. Things will be changing from next week, for the next 6 weeks, about which I have no idea. I’ll get clarity on the coming Tuesday. Coming back to the blank, with lesser hectic days, most of my time is spent lying on the sofa, scrolling through my favourite youtubers’ content, anything I would like to shop on and adding them to the bag and never with an intent of actually buying them. When not scrolling, I will either watch a movie or read a novel or hear them on audiobook apps. The loops never seem to end. When I realise that I have time at my hand and I have nothing to do, I go online se...

The Abundant Room Upstairs, No One is Allowed to enter! #1

There is an old brown dusty chair that sits in the abandoned room upstairs. I didn’t figure out who does it belongs to yet we, the family who resides here on rental basis, are forbidden for using it. Mamma says that we must not enter the room, at any cost. Yet, I trespassed this boundary yesterday, when my dearest cat went upstairs, like she usually does. I didn’t ponder upon this fact as Cookie has her favorite place to sleep upstairs. But upon her no appearing back even after opening up of its favorite food (cats are very strong at detecting smell), a doubt arose. I waited for a few more minutes and when my expectations failed too, I decided to go upstairs and check. The forbidden room was at left, so I went forward and checked the room on the right side. “Cookie” I called out. No response. I called out again, twice, yet the result was just as the first time, that is no response again. I had the bowl of cat food in my hand, whose presence would have been hard to go unnoticed, given...
