The story is about all the events that let this Rule-follower to become a Rule-Breaker. It's not just the events that proves to change her, but her own younger sister, Vidya. Vidya herself does something that makes Veda to believe that's it's ok to break the rules and be yourself. It's from Vidya and the events, both that she is able to get the courage to stand up for what she believes is correct. Her courage is not just for herself, but for Bhuwan too. Another important character from the book , as I feel, is Kanika, who proves to be another example of a girl, who follows her own rules and is happier than Veda herself.
