Have your own life. No one's coming to save you and at last, you are responsible for your happiness....
I have heard these things multiple times and sometimes or the other, experienced things where the saying held true.
When did this sense of independence separated me from my fellow beings , I can't pin-point the moment.
When I can't internally feel the need to be with someone and have always prioritised my things ( which are endless ) first, I think I have no right to expect someone else to be there for me when I need them, right ?
I need someone around me , not because I need them to do something for me ,or save me from the circumstances I am in , but rather just be there, sit, listen and talk. Their mere honest presence is what I feel craving for. It isn't necessary for us to plan a grand day out with a cafe or movie or dinner in the itinerary. Can't we just be there, under the same room shall be enough but what I want to share the most is the feeling that we are at the same page. Cant we just talk without playing games and extracting the most the other person can do for our materialistic benefit ?
I am reminded of the lines I read sometime ago,-
"Far from my loved ones, all for the ones I love "
Even with the family I share my roof with, there is a new distance in thoughts. How much can I share of everything happening in my life and expect them to do the same and can we truly understand and close the gap !?
I have been believer in the power words hold in a relationship but not every feeling can be compensated by words.
