It Is All Imaginary !! Library Dreams

I lay strewn on the wooden floor with my hands busy holding a book and my mind trying to contemplate the given words. Next to me awaits a cup of coffee brewing its steam to fill the surrounding area with its awakening aroma ( well, its not strong enough to fill the whole room with aroma!!).The combination of  coffee with your favorite genre of books feels divine.

I continued reading , realizing that its gong to be the last paragraph of the book and it would cease to engage me.

Closing the book, I  decided to head to the library  ( which was recently established and its the first time i would be visiting it) and to scout down new companions and begin with a new story, a new perspective .The time interval between 2 books always has soothing effect on me . Its the time i feel satisfied with the way my life had been moving. It's peaceful to see a story end and have the enthusiasm to begin again, for a newer story.

Standing up, I tightened my pony , picked up the little sling bag I had and strapped up my shoes .I place the book in the bag and headed to the library. The library has been newly opened near a large play ground which is the only playground in our little town. The building is supposed to be an old one and from the old memories I have of that old place, i guess it had wooden flooring (which I loved then and now too!!)

I keep walking and since it is evening timing, the lights have just started to glow  up the town . The street lights have been turned on, the lights outside the shops to appear fancy and attract the customers have blown on. I also witnessed the special lightings decorating the rooftops and the outer walls of the homes having specials occasions coming up. Passing near one such home, I saw a bunch of ladies dressed up in beautiful Lehengas and the little mirrors and sprinkles and stones on their dresses even increases the beauty of light by continuous spreading and reflecting and hence , illumination of the place ( well, I am taking about the little light flashes here and there nd not about the perfect illumination that sun provides us !).I smile at them and they smile back at me. Before initiating any conversation, one of the lady's name was called out and they all moved in, and I kept walking, a bit more paces now.

As I am nearing the building, i could judge how deserted this place would have been! The place and its surrounding looks empty. I stood at the first step to the entrance and tried to peak in through the narrow place between the 2 sides, og the double sided door, which was slight ajar. I can see on in there yet I heard noise of a few pages being flipped inside . "Its not closed" I reassured myself. I opened the door and stepped in. A young girl, I think she would have been 19 or so, saw me from a distance and gestured to come in. I smiled and opened the gate properly, ( during the previous peaking, I felt like a buggler! but now, i could enter the place with pride.)

The place was old, as expected. Yet, the wooden flooring wasn't changed, yet it looked like it might have got polished or repaired. Beyond the entry was a big hall, circular and every distant peripheral region, at appreciable distance from each other, various tags were highlighted in big, fancy fonts revealing the genre of books present in there with drawings and illustrations are related to the very genre. The tags were also bordered wit little china lights, which looked super captivating to me.

I stepped towards the fiction category( which was quite expected from me) and started exploring. There were big photos of the well known authors on the walls, beautiful quotes and thoughts were embraced. The place was something I never imagined it to be. Its not the 4 walls that make up the vibes of the place , its what we think and have the capability to express, makes out the true vibes .At the ending of 1 book shelf, stickers of beautiful flower were present ( of course, I don't think real ones would be able to survive in the light-devoid place.)

I kept strolling and glancing at every nook and corner of this fiction world and picked up another book, another companion for the next few days.

I left the place i loved so much but i knew from now , ill be visiting this place every now and then! It had its own aura and the diversity of books available make me awe-stricken. 😯

I stepped out and the stars and moon were already high. Ill never cease to admire beauty of the lights, be it artificial or the natural ones which I am witnessing high above me! I kept strolling on the already figured out path under the patches of light and darkness, listening to the noises in background.

I entered home , jumped on the bed and instantly fell asleep.

Tomorrow , a new day awaits.

(nothing in the above written things must be taken to be true, its all fictionous)😅😂🤣

That's the way I work!

I exhaled the breath that was captured inside me, realizing that the person didn't intend to convey the news to me yet. I'll get my news.  I don't know how long that's going to take but my mind is beginning to take its troll. I just couldn't wait anymore!  Was the news even meant for me? I didn't know. All I knew was , being patient is the only option to patient.  I have been acting impulsively. Once I decide I want to finish off something, I'll do it anyway, without giving it a second thought. Once convinced, concider it's done. The whole efforts, are therefor, put into the Convincing process. It's freaking hard to convince me to do something. My friends often say, why do you think so much? Why are you so afraid of taking actions ? I don't think I am afraid or I take too much time deciding. It's just, i don't have an explanation for this. If my Gut feeling says I should do it, I'll do it or otherwise.  Following my own philosophies,...

Stuck in or settling in ?

Things have been pretty blank these days. Since I am an intern, the only people I am answerable to, are my seniors at work (and this transition from being in a bunch of people of the same group to working is fairly new to me). The work timings depend, on department to department, from unit to unit and within weekdays too. Currently I am at a calmer place so I do not have anything major to worry about. Things will be changing from next week, for the next 6 weeks, about which I have no idea. I’ll get clarity on the coming Tuesday. Coming back to the blank, with lesser hectic days, most of my time is spent lying on the sofa, scrolling through my favourite youtubers’ content, anything I would like to shop on and adding them to the bag and never with an intent of actually buying them. When not scrolling, I will either watch a movie or read a novel or hear them on audiobook apps. The loops never seem to end. When I realise that I have time at my hand and I have nothing to do, I go online se...

The Abundant Room Upstairs, No One is Allowed to enter! #1

There is an old brown dusty chair that sits in the abandoned room upstairs. I didn’t figure out who does it belongs to yet we, the family who resides here on rental basis, are forbidden for using it. Mamma says that we must not enter the room, at any cost. Yet, I trespassed this boundary yesterday, when my dearest cat went upstairs, like she usually does. I didn’t ponder upon this fact as Cookie has her favorite place to sleep upstairs. But upon her no appearing back even after opening up of its favorite food (cats are very strong at detecting smell), a doubt arose. I waited for a few more minutes and when my expectations failed too, I decided to go upstairs and check. The forbidden room was at left, so I went forward and checked the room on the right side. “Cookie” I called out. No response. I called out again, twice, yet the result was just as the first time, that is no response again. I had the bowl of cat food in my hand, whose presence would have been hard to go unnoticed, given...
