Book Review: Expelled (JustMyThoughts)

Expelled
    - James Patterson ( Author)

Being expelled gives us a bad feeling, specially to the ones who are not guilty and the very tag of being expelled could be dangerous for their undetermined future. Theo ( Thoedore Foster ) feels the same when someone posts an offensive image from his secret twitter account and gets him ( and others too ) expelled at the very end of session so that they are even deprived of giving in the final exams and have to attended their junior year again.

It is the story of a bunch of teenagers ,tagged delinquents for the actions that they claim they didn’t do. The story starts with an approach that the kids got expelled for the offensive fun they did but going through the course of time, the story ends at a very serious note with many deep secrets hidden by the higher authorities.

Seeing their dreams getting crushed due to a false accusation, Theo took the responsibility to hunt the truth and bring it in front of the World. One final question, what would you do if you found out who  that person was, would you ensure they get punished for their deeds or forgive them !!?
Well, it’s all in this book  .
Moments of epiphany changes the course of novel
During the whole read, I had a constant thought, why does the title says , “Getting  kicked out of school is the best thing that ever happened to HER” when the whole read is written from a male narration! Well, you would know how this expulsion and the  events following it  liberates Sasha from a jail she was living in.  She got off the bad life she was in and lived Happier.
Theo's main goal in the novel was to prove himself innocent so that he would be withdrawn from the label of Expulsion and in this way he could get his scholarship for college easier. Jude, his friend who got expelled without being guilty too, first takes it easy and do not show much intent to prove themself innocent but later, when he experiences how it would be affecting their future prospect of working for their dreams, he became dedicated for the task too. Initially Jude was more amused by the idea of having 3 weeks longer summer vacation :D
The hunt for culprit begins and they approach anyone they felt , could help them in their task. During this duration, Theo missed being in school terribly but what was more hurting was , they were being treated like accused and were being ignored by people .

The revelation is shocking, the culprit is one of these expelled ones but why did he do what he did ! The reason redirects the purpose of all the scouting down of facts and the events following this wont allow you to put the book down.
The book is adventures , with the energy and craziness of teens , with a very strong motive ( which gets stronger and stronger as the hidden facts unfold) and the desperateness to achieve what they thought with a pushing force of having already messed-up lives.

The whole story is like a detective's search with a tinge of romance and the teens bustling energies for a mission to accomplish! The book is Fun, Adventurous and Dynamic !

That's the way I work!

I exhaled the breath that was captured inside me, realizing that the person didn't intend to convey the news to me yet. I'll get my news.  I don't know how long that's going to take but my mind is beginning to take its troll. I just couldn't wait anymore!  Was the news even meant for me? I didn't know. All I knew was , being patient is the only option to patient.  I have been acting impulsively. Once I decide I want to finish off something, I'll do it anyway, without giving it a second thought. Once convinced, concider it's done. The whole efforts, are therefor, put into the Convincing process. It's freaking hard to convince me to do something. My friends often say, why do you think so much? Why are you so afraid of taking actions ? I don't think I am afraid or I take too much time deciding. It's just, i don't have an explanation for this. If my Gut feeling says I should do it, I'll do it or otherwise.  Following my own philosophies,...

Stuck in or settling in ?

Things have been pretty blank these days. Since I am an intern, the only people I am answerable to, are my seniors at work (and this transition from being in a bunch of people of the same group to working is fairly new to me). The work timings depend, on department to department, from unit to unit and within weekdays too. Currently I am at a calmer place so I do not have anything major to worry about. Things will be changing from next week, for the next 6 weeks, about which I have no idea. I’ll get clarity on the coming Tuesday. Coming back to the blank, with lesser hectic days, most of my time is spent lying on the sofa, scrolling through my favourite youtubers’ content, anything I would like to shop on and adding them to the bag and never with an intent of actually buying them. When not scrolling, I will either watch a movie or read a novel or hear them on audiobook apps. The loops never seem to end. When I realise that I have time at my hand and I have nothing to do, I go online se...

The Abundant Room Upstairs, No One is Allowed to enter! #1

There is an old brown dusty chair that sits in the abandoned room upstairs. I didn’t figure out who does it belongs to yet we, the family who resides here on rental basis, are forbidden for using it. Mamma says that we must not enter the room, at any cost. Yet, I trespassed this boundary yesterday, when my dearest cat went upstairs, like she usually does. I didn’t ponder upon this fact as Cookie has her favorite place to sleep upstairs. But upon her no appearing back even after opening up of its favorite food (cats are very strong at detecting smell), a doubt arose. I waited for a few more minutes and when my expectations failed too, I decided to go upstairs and check. The forbidden room was at left, so I went forward and checked the room on the right side. “Cookie” I called out. No response. I called out again, twice, yet the result was just as the first time, that is no response again. I had the bowl of cat food in my hand, whose presence would have been hard to go unnoticed, given...
