Book Review: Can Love happen Twice ( JustMyThoughts)

 Can love happen twice

     - by Ravinder Singh (Author)

“Can love happen twice” is written by Ravinder Singh and is

the novel sequel to Ravinder Singh’s debut novel “I too had a

Love Story”.

The thoughtfulness of the novel lies in the fact that the whole

novel is presented as a narration of Ravin’s personal diary

over a radio show which stretches overnight.

                                                              ( from Google images)

Despite the first-love-experience had been really

heartbreaking for Ravin, love knocks at his door again but this

time, at some different place, among different people and

with different life changing opportunities waiting ahead.

Ravin’s attempt to move on after a shocking experience bring

life again in his half-dead-soul. But would the happiness stay

for long!?

The basic question that the novel arises her is what must be

chosen between the highs in life and calm of love. Aspiration

keeps a mind living, love keeps a soul living. But what if only

one of them could be chose ..!

The author has very sensibly deciphered the meaning of

‘Love @Conditions Applied, circumstances and contrasted it

with being Condition freely dedicated to Someone.

Departure of love due to Aspiration- expectation conflicts

leaves Ravin shattered who, unable to confront the same

situation again, ends up being in mental asylum.

Knowing the only reason that helps Ravin to get back to his

self leaves the readers amazed. The unexpected turn of

emotion in the last few pages doesn’t cease to leave the

reader unsatisfied.

A single Friendship-oriented move made by one of the

characters in minor role was of the highest significance to

turn over the story.

The book concludes with a big smile plastered on the

readers face!

Escaping, but from whom?

It's a quite place which I always claimed will make me most productive.  And now that I am here, I occasionally get lost in my thoughts, which is basically about all the issues I am surrounded with. While at home,  I was constantly in search of emptiness, a room where no one ones what am I doing, judge whether what I am doing would actully help me make my future better, to validate the feelings I express. I used to just sleep or try to study in a room locked from inside where most of the time was spent crying till I am too exhausted to do nothing more than needed, sorting what went wrong and hiding from everyone around. I have been there before and after attempts of moving on, the things are back again , right in front of me. Everytime it happens, it leave a hollowness inside which doesn't really fills up. It gets deeper, progressively. I have been shrinking out socially and hasn't been a serious bother since the ones I have to keep with me, are with me.  The previous tim...

The Abundant Room Upstairs, No One is Allowed to enter! #1

There is an old brown dusty chair that sits in the abandoned room upstairs. I didn’t figure out who does it belongs to yet we, the family who resides here on rental basis, are forbidden for using it. Mamma says that we must not enter the room, at any cost. Yet, I trespassed this boundary yesterday, when my dearest cat went upstairs, like she usually does. I didn’t ponder upon this fact as Cookie has her favorite place to sleep upstairs. But upon her no appearing back even after opening up of its favorite food (cats are very strong at detecting smell), a doubt arose. I waited for a few more minutes and when my expectations failed too, I decided to go upstairs and check. The forbidden room was at left, so I went forward and checked the room on the right side. “Cookie” I called out. No response. I called out again, twice, yet the result was just as the first time, that is no response again. I had the bowl of cat food in my hand, whose presence would have been hard to go unnoticed, given...
I have the same sequence of thoughts. I think about work, what is it taking out of me and where will it take me, and during the process, I'll either end up scrolling or sleeping, expressing my mental physical tiredness. I don't know how my friends are managing this internship and taking out consistent time to study and prepare for the competitive exams and with their instagram stories revealing that they are not missing out on fun! And, about the internship- I try to finish the tasks I have been given; I try to do a little more, learn a little more, try something beyond the regular stuff till the time I am tired. I try imagining where exactly, out of the places I have been posted, would I like to be working. but till now, I have not been able to reach to a conclusion. Give me a few free hours and I will either sleep or read novels. Recently the latest books I have read are- The Bastard of Istanbul , The –Perfect– Marriage and right now, its Girls Burn Brighter - all these nove...
