I found myself more calm and composed and my grip on the handle of the scooty felts tighter, as if my palm was promising never to leave the grip, what-so-ever happen. It was the first time I was driving for not-so-urgent reason and with no fixed destination in my mind. Yet I and my friend, whose eyes were focused on the Google maps on the phone screen, were set off to explore the unecplred part of the city and if fortune favors, a better part of our unexplored selves.
"You need to take the next left and trade the way that takes runs up the flyover " she spoke and by judging the intensity of her voice and tone, it wasn't difficult to make out that her eyes were glued to the map. I nodded in acknowledgement and followed her orders. I complied and soon we were ascending up the flyover Bridge with a moderate pace. The sun started for its target to faint, leaving behind a grayish blue sky with traces of light clouds floating above. We reached the top of the bridge and the view from there was mesmerizing, if you look it my way ! (woah, we were still driving !)
As far as my eyes could unfold the scenes and mysteries therein , the view revealed convergence of both parallel ends of road (from where I was ) and its disappearence with in the tuft and blanketing of the leaves whose roots were on the trees planed on the both the bends of the road ahead. The leaves formed the fading boundary, not allowing the road to meet the sky at the horizon. As we moved forward from the top and begun with our descend, we could see the fellow descendents of our lane and the ascendents from the opposite side. A few of them had their vehicle's headlight on where the others felt its lighted enough for them to make thir way till the destinations. It felt like the little sparkles moving in 2 different directions with a rare constancy in their motion. All this divine sight was transient and momentary. We were constantly reminded of the experiences mortality by brushing of the breeze from ours either sides. The descent came to an end and we were back from our nature-fantasies....
Well, that road has been left behind, but the memories and experiences can't be!.
Thank you .
